Here it is, the highly anticipated event of the summer! This is the perfect way to wrap up the season, build meaningful relationships with the people your student will be walking through the school year with, and step away from the busyness of the suburbs to reflect on life and what walking with Jesus is like.

Registration for Houseboat 2026 is OPEN!! But note below, we had to change locations this summer due to Bull Shoals having to recall some of their boats. But, we were able to find a houseboat company in Crane Lake, Minnesota!! 

Registration Date: May 5
But Limited Seats!! First Come, First Serve.
Cost: $850

Please don’t let the cost be the reason your student misses out on this trip! I know $850 is a significant amount, but at GEBC we never want price to be a barrier to life-changing opportunities like this. If cost is a concern, please reach out to me (Carter) directly — we’d love to work with you. Whether it’s a payment plan or a scholarship, we’ll figure something out!

If you are able to give more, and are feeling led to do so, there is an option at the end of registration where you can help cover the costs for other students. 

Trip Details:

• Location: Crane Lake, Minnesota
• Dates: July 26-30, 2026 - Sunday night to Thursday
• Who Can Attend: Current 8th grade-12th grade students
• Lodging: Houseboats (split by gender and grade)
• Organization going with: Voyagaire Lodge and Houseboats - they will be in charge and responsible for meals, driving, maintenance, and safety throughout the week. 

Activities:

• Swimming, water polo, cliff jumping, lounging, hiking, fishing
• Ski boat for wakeboarding, water skiing, tubing, and more

Spiritual Elements:

• Nightly worship under the stars
• Conversations about life, faith, and God on houseboat rooftops
• Small group discussions
• Tons of time to build community!

Travel:

• Departure: Sunday, July 26, at 11:30 PM (chartered coach bus, overnight drive)
• Arrival at Crane Lake: Monday morning (9-10 hour drive)
• On the Boats: Monday noon – Thursday noon (July 30)
• Return to GEBC: Late Thursday night, July 30.

Registration & Cost:

• Deposit: $150 (non-refundable) required to secure a spot
• Price: $850
• Deadline: May 5

The total cost of the trip is $850 per student. Full refunds (minus the deposit) are available until the registration deadline of May 5. After May 5, refunds cannot be guaranteed due to non-refundable reservations and expenses made on behalf of the group. No refunds will be issued after Sunday, June 14 unless a replacement participant is found. Exceptions will be considered in cases of illness or family emergency.
